Well Owner Tips
- Periodically check the sanitary seal/well cap to ensure it is in good, working order.
- Never store poisons, pesticides or other hazardous materials in your pump house or near your well.
- Be sure the casing (pipe coming from the ground) is at least 1' above land surface and remains as such to prevent overland flow of water entering the well.
- Test your water source annually for nitrates & coliform bacteria.
